The story

I’m John Phillips. I’m a trial lawyer by trade. I’ve tried cases in courtrooms across the country for twenty-five years, but the most important job I have is being a father to my three sons.

Sports cards started as a thing I collected when I was their age. Then it became a thing we collected together — a shared project around the kitchen table, a reason to watch a whole baseball game all the way through, a conversation about what makes something rare, what makes something real, and what makes something worth holding onto.

When the collection outgrew the shelves, we had a decision to make. We could keep stockpiling in a closet, or we could turn it into something the boys could actually run. Something that would teach them what a real business looks like — authenticity, effort, pricing, fulfillment, showing up when a customer has a question at ten o’clock at night.

We chose the business.

What we do

Every card is graded and authenticated by PSA (Professional Sports Authenticator), the industry’s most trusted grading service. Every product page lists the PSA cert number so you can verify the card yourself at psacard.com — independent of anything I tell you.

My sons do the work. They photograph the cards, draft the listings, answer buyer questions, and pack the shipments. Every listing comes through me before it goes live — that’s the one piece I keep a hand on, because my name is on this store and I’m accountable for every card that leaves this house. If a card I’m selling you isn’t what I said it was, you tell me, and I make it right.

Why it matters

A business isn’t something you read about. It’s something you do — badly at first, a little better next week, a lot better next year. My boys are learning to run a real one, with real customers and real money and real consequences for getting it wrong.
