Michigan Wide Receiver Suspended Indefinitely After Violent Attack

by Sam Ranard

University of Michigan wide receiver Csont’e York was suspended indefinitely earlier this month for “failing to meet team standards.” Apparently the team standard is to not violently blindside another person with a haymaker. York, who can be seen in the video below wearing a fishing hat, was apparently upset after the victim bumped into York at a bar. According to police reports, the victim and York were “jaw jacking” back and forth about if hockey is better than football. According to CBS Sports, York will be charged with aggravated assault and two counts of battery.

mlive.com, reported on tuesday, “the victim appears to have not known the punch was coming. It knocked out a tooth and broke his jaw in three places, requiring it to be wired shut and necessitating the temporary use of a breathing tube”

The video of the incident is not appearing properly, so in the meantime here is a link to the video.
